Can you share your journey of how you started utilizing the internet as a creative platform?

The internet has always been my comfort zone, a place where I could express myself and connect with people from all walks of life. Whether it was making friends on games or sharing stories on social media, I loved the idea of reaching a wide audience. After university, I realized the internet offered more than just socializing—it was a platform where I could earn a living doing what I love. Despite not being book smart, I found my niche in the creative space, driven by a desire for recognition and community building. From then till now, I’ve explored various avenues of content creation, embracing the freedom to experiment and engage with my audience.

What’s your most memorable moment as a creative?

Honestly, I don’t think I’ve had that one viral moment, and I’m okay with that. My journey has been about steady growth and consistency, rather than overnight success. I’ve built my following organically, starting from scratch and staying committed to producing content that resonates with my audience. I’ve always focused on cultivating a loyal community through genuine connections and relatable content.

What are some common misconceptions about being a creative on the internet, and how do you address them?

One misconception I’ve had is the pressure to niche down and specialize in one area. While having a niche can be beneficial for some, I’ve found success in embracing versatility and exploring different creative pursuits. Rather than limiting myself to a specific category, I’ve thrived by staying true to my diverse interests and allowing my content to reflect my authentic self.  I’ve been able to cultivate an engaged audience who appreciates my genuine approach to content creation.

How do you handle criticism or negative feedback on social media platforms?

Having been in the game since 2016, I’ve learned to prioritize my mental health and emotional well-being amidst the noise of social media. While negative comments are inevitable, I don’t let them overshadow the positive feedback. II’ve developed a thick skin over the years, knowing that not everyone will resonate with my content, and that’s okay. It’s all about staying true to myself and my vision.

How do you manage burnout as a creative?

In the past, I used to take breaks from social media to recharge and unwind. Now that my online presence is a significant source of income, I’ve had to find other ways to manage burnout. Whether it’s playing video games, watching Netflix, or simply disconnecting from the outside world, I prioritize self-care and give myself the space to decompress when needed.

What’s the weirdest or funniest comment or DM you’ve ever received on social media about your work?

Recently, I’ve been getting DMs accusing me of being involved in illegal activities, which couldn’t be further from the truth. It’s weird how people can jump to conclusions based on assumptions. That’s the only weird DM I have gotten.

Can you share a funny story from your journey as a creative that still makes you laugh today?

There was this one time someone told me I belonged behind the camera, calling me a “star maker.” It stung a bit, but looking back, I’ve found success both behind and in front of the camera.
